HOLISTICS: the Universal Reality

Abstract

This paper is a further development of the Matrix potential to explore word/meaning relationships along well defined lines. Holistics is the selected key word similar to Physics, Mathematics or Logistics, but encompassing all these systems, strands, disciplines or perspectives. The Matrix, a conceptual framework which integrates the elements feel/think/act/time into a single landscape of values and entities, provides the all inclusive background on which these relationships can be flexibly displayed and demonstrated.

Advantage has been taken of the Square/circle relationship which previously referred to the circle inscribed in a Square producing paradigms and is now extended to the nine Blocks and to the whole Matrix. These circles share the center (5) and the equivalence potential attached to it, becoming the Observer’s local or universal horizon. An interesting feature of relationships is the pairing of Displays. Two such pairings are given, one of them presenting a striking analogy between the unifying mind boggling 1905 Special Theory of Relativity and the famous de Bono dictum I am Right You are Wrong, paired with a valuable analogy between the 1915 General Theory of Relativity and Agreement (39). Another relationship visually displayed helps to identify the pathway between well recognized entities, for example From Pain to Vision identifies the pathway between Pain (13), Energy (44), Intelligence (58) and Vision (99). Something paradoxically opposite to the tensorial power of key words seems to operate selecting through emphasis one element of the tensor in a given context while applying the triple criteria of Perception, Equivalence and Coherence to ensure that the right balance (55) is operative in that particular context. For the global village where religion is both a uniting force and a source of division, violence and even war an Interfaith display is included. Also included is a French display where linguistics and the resonance of the selected key words provide an interesting and coherent pattern. Another element of importance is the faceted format for articulating definitions providing a series/parallel continuum which helps comprehension through clarity.

Creative thought is an ongoing force which is supported by developing technologies such as e-mail, internet and websites. These technologies facilitate and extend the presentation of thoughts. The potential of data projection (power point) may ensure better reception than overhead projection. However creative thought is the main issue and visual displays offer a very valuable means for presenting ideas, concepts and relationships. Their strength is Seeing is Believing and the more the radar screen is holistic and effective the more the believing can be validated, kept ongoing and ready for expansion.
